Coimbatore Ward 27 Councillor Inspects Dengue Prevention and Development Works in Peelamedu

Coimbatore Singanallur constituency Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Dhanabal inspected dengue mosquito eradication, road construction, drain cleaning, waste collection, and drinking water pipe repair works in Peelamedu areas today, directing officials to ensure quality execution of all civic projects.


Coimbatore: Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Dhanabal of Coimbatore Corporation's North Zone conducted a comprehensive inspection of various development works and public welfare schemes in her ward today, providing necessary guidance to officials for effective implementation.

In the Peelamedu Rangammal Kovil Street area under Ward 27 of the Singanallur Assembly constituency, dengue mosquito eradication work was carried out by DBC personnel today. Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited and inspected the operations. During the inspection, mosquito larvae were identified and removed. Bleaching powder was sprinkled in the area, and abate solution was poured into water tanks. The councillor advised residents to prevent water stagnation and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.



Similarly, concrete road construction work is underway in the Peelamedu Duraisamy Naidu Layout slum area. Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited and inspected this project. She instructed the contractor to install barricades to prevent vehicle movement until the concrete road construction is completed and ensure quality work standards are maintained.



In the Peelamedu Lal Bahadur Colony area, cleaning of roadside vegetation and drains was conducted. Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited and inspected these works. She directed sanitation workers to thoroughly clean roadside vegetation and drains. Ward Supervisor Easwari accompanied her during the inspection.



Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited the Peelamedu Kalki Nagar area to inspect whether garbage collection carts are operating regularly and roadside waste is being removed daily. During the inspection, she advised residents to segregate waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories and hand them over to sanitation workers properly. Ward Supervisor Easwari accompanied her.



Drinking water pipe repair work is underway at Peelamedu Poosari Rama Street. Councillor Ambika Dhanabal personally visited and inspected this work. She instructed the Suez company supervisor to lay concrete pavement in the excavated area and properly restore the road once the work is completed. Waterman Magali was present during the inspection.
