At the 45th ‘Skoch Summit’ held at Hyderabad, Coimbatore City Corporation has been awarded with the ’Skoch Smart City Award' for the best City Corporation in the nation.
Out of the 100 cities, Coimbatore City Corporation led by Dr. Vijaya Karthikeyan, City Corporation Commissioner, presented their projects, contributions and achievements in upgrading the city standards, under various categories. Today, on 9th September 2016 at the HICC, Hitech City, Hyderabad, top performing projects with best practices and maximum points were conferred with ‘Skoch Order-of-Merit Award’. The panel of judges have awarded our City Corporation with 8 awards for the following projects and the with the prestigious ‘Skoch Order-of-Merit Award’.
First Place - Coimbatore - 8 points
Second Place - Pune - 6 points
Third Place - Surat - 6 Points
