City Corporation launches exclusive WhatsApp helpline numbers to report grievances


The Coimbatore City Municipality Corporation has launched three dedicated WhatsApp helpline numbers to serve the citizens by giving them an opportunity to record their grievances, instantaneously.

Thiru. SP. Velumani, Minister for Municipal Management and Rural development and Special Scheme implementation flagged off the initiative. City Corporation Commissioner, Dr. Vijaya Karthikeyan and other officials from various departments were present during the event. 

WhatsApp '8190000100' to register complaints with the police, regarding issues like distress / crime / help/ abuse.

'8190000200' for registering complaints/issues regarding the city Corporation/Municipality.

Under the 'Save the Children project' the public and the children can WhatsApp '8190000300' to report incidents like child abuse, harassment, children in distress, abandoned, child labour and related child issues

 

The City Corporation has partnered with Idea Cellular network for accessing and maintaining the WhatsApp toll-free numbers. The officials reported that the facility will function round-the-clock and no calls should be made to the number, just WhatsApp!
