'Corrupted cops' involved in extortion case, remanded

The trio, Saravanan, Muthukumar and Dharmendran of the 3.93 crore extortion case were taken to the District Court No:7, Judicial Magistrate Pandian's residence at 12:45 am. The Magistrate ordered judicial custody for 15 days, till 7th October, 2016. Following the order, the trio were remanded and sent to the Coimbatore prison.

However, the police have planned to seek permission from the Magistrate to take them in police custody to continue their investigation.
