Miscreants hurl kerosene bombs at RSS activist's workshop


Following the murder of Sasikumar, Hindu Munani, the city has been experiencing tense situations every now and then. Though, the police have controlled the violence and the people are almost back to normalcy in most of the areas, however tense situation continues at few sensitive areas., Due to an untoward incident staged today morning, the normalcy has been disrupted in Sundarapuram.

Karthik is a RSS activist and runs a workshop at Sungam Street, Sundarapuram. During the wee hours of today morning some unidentified miscreants have hurled kerosene bombs at his two-wheeler workshop and sped away from the scene. Alerted by the blasting sound, the people from nearby residences extinguished the fire immediately due to which a big tragedy was averted. 



The incident was immediately reported to the Podanur Police station, who rushed to the spot and investigated the incident. The police also retrieved CCTV footages from the camera that was placed outside the workshop. Close to Karthik's workshop, there is another workshop owned which is owned by a BJP cadre Vasanth Rajan.

The residents have demanded to arrest the violators immediately and beef up the security in their area. Inspite of tightened security, the petrol bomb incident created perturbation in the area.
