'Nature & Life' art exhibition at Kasturi Sreenivasan Trust, Avinashi Road


Kasturi Sreenivasan Trust, a dedicated organisation involved in promotion of art and literature in Coimbatore. The Culture Centre consists of an Art Gallery, a Textile Museum, an Auditorium and a library. Nearly 153, Art exhibitions have been held from the year 2003 under various genres. In order to encourage and motivate the local artists from the city,  presently the trust has organised a series 'Coimbatore Artists Club Meet 2016'.

The paintings and sculptures on display were created by members of KST Art and Literary Club. To commemorate the 5th year inaugural function of the KST Art and Literary Club, an art exhibition was held today at the gallery with the theme 'NATURE AND LIFE. 



The inaugural ceremony was flagged off by Kavingar Puviarasu, the Chief Guest for the event. Thiru.S.R.Kathir, Cinematographer was the guest of honour. 



The special speaker Mrs.X.Amali Lucia P.G. Teacher from Mahajana Matric. Higher Secondary School Mettupalayam gave an insight regarding 'Art'.The trustee of Kasturi Sreenivasan Trust, Mr. S. Venkatakumar, presided over the function.



The event also had hosted a performance dedicated to 'Bharathiar' by the students of Corporation High School of Gandhi Maa Nagar.



Various paintings depicting the destruction of animal habitat by human beings, destruction of tress, current scenario of the- society, temples, wildlife were on the display and sale, as well. 







The viewers were taken aback by the stunning paintings and sculptures.  The expo will be open from September 26th to October 2nd from 10 am to 6.30 pm at the Kasturi Sreenivasan Art Gallery on Avinashi Road.
