Due to track renewal works at Ingur Railway Yard in the Erode-Tiruppur section, Southern Railway will short-terminate Train No. 16843 Tiruchchirappalli-Palakkad Town Express at Erode Junction on June 12, 14 and 16, 2026.
Coimbatore: Southern Railway has announced temporary changes to train operations owing to track renewal works scheduled at Ingur Railway Yard in the Erode-Tiruppur section.
According to a statement issued by Salem Division, Train No. 16843 Tiruchchirappalli Junction-Palakkad Town Express, which departs Tiruchchirappalli at 1 p.m., will be short-terminated at Erode Junction on June 12, 14 and 16, 2026.
Railway authorities stated that after the completion of the maintenance works, the service will continue from Erode Junction to Palakkad Town as an unreserved special train. The special service will operate with the same stoppages as the regular Tiruchchirappalli-Palakkad Town Express.
Passengers travelling on the affected dates have been advised to take note of the temporary operational changes and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
