Vasuki, General Secretary AIDWA and team inspects riot damages in the city.


U. Vasuki, Central Committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Tamil Nadu Party State Secretariat member and Tamil Nadu State General Secretary of the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA), today along with few other senior office bearers visited the affected areas that underwent rioting and attacks in the aftermath of the death of Sasikumar, Hindu Munani leader. 

The team inspected the affected areas in Kottaimedu Easwaran Koil Veethi, Sukarawarpet Mosque, Ajmer Biriyani shop, Aroma bakery in RS Puram and more than 50 commercial establishments in Thudiyalur. 



While speaking to the press, Vasuki said that 'Sasikumar's murder is highly condemnable but the violence and atrocities staged thereafter is totally unacceptable. The violators have caused grave damages to public assets, shops, vehicles thereby affecting the livelihood of the people. The video footages circulated in the social medias, shows that the police have failed to control the agitators during the violence. The criminals involved in the murder should be identified and arrested', she said. 

She insisted that people should not fall prey to violence provoking statements and standby peace and solidarity. The district administration should scrutinise and audit the damages earnestly and help the victims to get needful compensation for their losses.
