Pon. Radhakrishnan demands status of those arrested for causing violence

Pon. Radhakrishnan Minister in the BJP government at the centre has asked the police to reveal the status of the persons who have been arrested for causing violence in Coimbatore. Police have so far arrested more than 500 people for causing violence during the final procession of Hindu Munnani functionary C Sasikumar.

This morning, at Thudiyalur Pon. Radhakrishnan met the kith and kin of those who have been arrested. Speaking to the media after the meeting he said “Police have arrested innocent people too. There are some reasons behind the arrests.” Radhakrishnan said.

He also stated that he has requested the concerned authority to educate him about the whereabouts of the people who have been arrested. Arresting the murderers is the responsibility of the police and nobody should interfere with the investigation. Parents and relatives of the people who have been arrested by the police, submitted a petition to the minister seeking to him take necessary steps to release the innocent.
