Court issues summons to Vijayakant, Premalatha

The Principal District Judge here has issued summons to DMDK leader Vijayakant and his wife Premalatha to appear before the court on March 24 after admitting a fresh complaint against them lodged by Public Prosecutor for Tirupur district K. N. Subramaniam. In the complaint lodged on the behalf of State government on Monday, Mr. Subramaniam had stated that Mr. Vijayakant and his wife made defamatory comments against State government and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa during a meeting organised by DMDK at Palladam on November 6, 2015.
