The Thudiyalur police arrested two youths who were involved in the sale of ganja in Saravana Nagar area of Kavundampalayam under Thudiyalur police limits in Coimbatore. The police seized 1 kg 100 grams of ganja from the youths and they were sent to jail afterwards.


Coimbatore: Thudiyalur police arrested two boys involved in the sale of ganja in the Saravana Nagar area of Kavundampalayam, under the Thudiyalur police limits in Coimbatore. They also seized 1 kg 100 grams of ganja from them.

The District Superintendent of Police has been taking various stringent measures to curb the sale of ganja and drugs in Coimbatore district.

In this case, the Thudiyalur police received a tip-off that ganja was being sold in the Kavundampalayam area, which is under the jurisdiction of the Thudiyalur police.

Thudiyalur Sub-Inspector Kumar and police officers patrolling in the Saravana Nagar area of Goundampalayam on a tip-off arrested two people who were standing suspiciously. They were identified as Krishathyan and Mohan Kumar, both residents of the same area who were involved in the sale of ganja.

Following this, a case was filed against them, and they were arrested and lodged in the Coimbatore Central Jail. They also seized 1 kg 100 grams of ganja that they kept for sale from them.
