"No Right for DMK to Speak on Social Justice when Women in Politics from Their family are sidelined," Says Vanathi Srinivasan MLA

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan criticizes DMK for sidelining women in politics and claims they have no right to speak on social justice, praising PM Modi for empowering women in politics.

Coimbatore: In a statement released today, April 7, Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA from Coimbatore South, criticized the DMK for sidelining women in the realm of dynastic politics and asserted that they have no authority to discuss social justice.

According to Srinivasan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the real pioneer in granting political power to women, challenging DMK's record on women's representation and social justice. In response to a report released by DMK on April 6 claiming significant female representation in various government sectors during their regime, Srinivasan highlighted that the BJP government under Modi has ensured substantial representation for women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBCs in the central cabinet.

Srinivasan mocked DMK's fear of losing the upcoming elections and called out their performative actions for social justice. She criticized the DMK government for failing to fulfill their promise of providing Rs. 1,000 monthly allowance to female family heads and questioned their commitment to women's rights and empowerment.

She pointed to the contrast in the BJP's inclusive approach, citing the diverse composition of Modi's cabinet as evidence of genuine social justice. Srinivasan further criticized the DMK's alliance with Congress, highlighting their delayed implementation of reservation policies and accusing them of hypocrisy regarding the welfare of marginalized communities.

Vanathi Srinivasan emphasized that true social justice and women's empowerment can only be achieved through meaningful political power and representation. She praised Modi's efforts in ensuring women hold significant positions in governance and expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu's women will not be deceived by DMK's promises, expecting them to support Modi in the elections.
