Ministers K.N. Nehru and Muthusamy inspected the Semmozhi Poonga works in Coimbatore. Minister K.N. Nehru announced that vacancies in municipalities and corporations will be filled soon through examinations.
Coimbatore: Ministers K.N. Nehru and Muthusamy conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing Semmozhi Poonga works at the Coimbatore Central Prison grounds. They were accompanied by Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, and other government officials during the inspection.
After the inspection, Minister K.N. Nehru addressed the media, stating, "These works are being carried out at an estimated cost of 168 crore rupees. As per the Chief Minister's directive, we conducted this inspection to ensure that the works are completed and the park is inaugurated by December."

The Minister continued, "We are planning to conduct examinations for 2,500 people at Anna University campus to fill vacancies in municipalities and corporations. 85% of the candidates will be selected through written examinations, while 15% will be chosen through interviews. Within ten days, assistant engineers will be selected."
Regarding the 330 resolutions passed by the Coimbatore Corporation, the Minister commented, "We will review these resolutions, prioritize those that are essential for the public, and implement all of them."

When questioned about the appointment of the Coimbatore Mayor, the Minister responded, "We will announce only what the Chief Minister says regarding this matter. We will provide information about this in the afternoon."
