Young boys from Udumalaipettai lauded for their honesty

Near Udumalaipettai, young boys found and returned a lost 3-sovereign gold chain to a tourist from Tiruchendur at the Amaravathi Crocodile Farm, earning widespread praise for their honesty.


Tirupur: In a heartwarming display of honesty, a group of young boys from Udumalaipettai in Tirupur district are receiving widespread acclaim for their integrity in returning a lost gold chain.

The incident occurred last Sunday at the Amaravathi Crocodile Farm near Udumalaipettai. A tourist from Tiruchendur had accidentally dropped a 3-sovereign gold chain during their visit to the farm. Unaware of the loss, the tourist left the premises.



The young boys, who are locals of the area, found the valuable gold chain. Instead of keeping it for themselves, they immediately handed it over to the forest guard at the crocodile farm. The forest officials then managed to trace the rightful owner and return the gold chain.

As news of this act of honesty spread, the boys have been showered with praise from various quarters. Their action is being hailed as an exemplary display of integrity and good citizenship, especially commendable given their young age.
