Jeganathan, who runs a chicken shop in Kovilpaalayam, became the victim of this calculated theft on Tuesday, the 5th of this month. The incident occurred when he was busy cleaning and cutting chicken at the front of his shop, completely unaware of what was transpiring inside.

Taking advantage of this situation, the youth entered the shop casually, appearing as if he wanted to purchase chicken. With the shop owner occupied outside, the young man seized the opportunity and made his move with remarkable boldness and precision.

In a matter of seconds, the thief opened the cash box and grabbed Rs 3,500 that was kept inside. He quickly stuffed the money into his pocket and fled the scene at lightning speed, all while maintaining a calm demeanor that didn't attract any attention.

After some time, when Jeganathan checked his cash box, he was shocked to find money missing. Initially confused about what had happened, he decided to review the CCTV camera footage installed in his shop. It was only then that the truth came to light.

The CCTV footage clearly captured the entire sequence of events, showing how brazenly the youth had executed the theft. The video shows the perpetrator's calculated movements and the ease with which he carried out the crime while the shop owner remained busy outside.

Jeganathan subsequently posted the CCTV footage on social media platforms to alert other business owners and help identify the thief. The video has since gone viral, with many people expressing shock at the audacity of the theft and the casual manner in which it was executed.

The incident has raised concerns among traders in the Kovilpaalayam area about the security of their shops. Many business owners are now being extra vigilant and reviewing their security measures to prevent such incidents.
