Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Inspects Road and Underground Drainage Works in West Zone

Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran conducted a detailed inspection of road, underground drainage, and stormwater drain restoration works in the West Zone. She also inspected the new women's park on Siruvaani Road and interacted with residents to address their grievances and gather feedback on infrastructure facilities.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran conducted a comprehensive inspection of ongoing road and underground drainage works in areas under the West Zone on Tuesday. The Mayor personally visited various project sites and reviewed the progress of development activities with corporation officials.



During her visit, Mayor Ranganayaki inspected the stormwater drain restoration works in Siddhi Vinayagar Colony under Ward No. 40. She also examined the construction of a connecting road near the canal linking Pongaliyur and Nagarajapuram areas. The Mayor reviewed the completed underground drainage project works and ongoing road restoration activities in these localities, accompanied by corporation officials.



The Mayor directly interacted with residents during the inspection, listening to their grievances and concerns. She took note of public feedback regarding infrastructure facilities and civic amenities in the area. This direct engagement allowed her to understand ground-level issues faced by citizens.

Earlier in the day, Mayor Ranganayaki visited the newly constructed women's park on Siruvaani Road. She inspected the park facilities and received detailed explanations from officials about the amenities provided and maintenance procedures being followed.



The inspection was attended by West Zone Chairperson Deivayaanai Tamilmarai, Assistant Commissioner Narmada, Assistant Executive Engineer Savitha, Council Member Padmavathi, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan, Assistant Engineer Hariprasad, Health Inspector Ramesh, and several other corporation officials.



Following the inspection, the Mayor provided necessary guidance to officials regarding development works being undertaken in the West Zone. She instructed them to ensure that all projects are completed with quality standards and within the stipulated timeline. The Mayor emphasized the importance of timely execution of civic works to benefit residents.
