Coimbatore: The first phase of House Listing Census 2027 in Coimbatore Corporation areas has achieved 90% completion, with helpline numbers from the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) announced for residents whose houses were missed during the enumeration process.

The Census of India 2027 is being conducted in two phases across Coimbatore Corporation areas. The first phase, comprising House Listing Census operations, commenced on August 1 and has been progressing intensively across all zones of the civic body.

According to Corporation sources, as of August 17, approximately 90% of the census work has been successfully completed. The remaining 10% of enumeration activities are being expedited to ensure complete coverage of all households in the Corporation limits.

To address concerns from residents whose houses were not visited by enumerators or areas that were inadvertently missed, zone-wise helpline numbers had already been provided earlier. Now, the Corporation has announced two additional contact numbers for the ICCC located at the R.S. Puram Municipal Kalai Arangam complex, which operates under the control of the main office.

Residents can contact the ICCC at 8925975974 and 8925840952 to report if census enumerators have not visited their homes. These helpline numbers will enable citizens to provide details about their localities and ensure no household is left out of the enumeration process.

In an official statement, the Corporation has appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to census officials (Enumerators/Supervisors) when they visit homes. Residents are requested to provide accurate information in response to questions asked by the census personnel to ensure the success of this important national exercise.

The House Listing Census forms the foundation for the comprehensive Population Census that will follow in the second phase, making it crucial that every household is accurately documented during this initial stage.
