Passengers Alert: Coimbatore Train Services to See Changes on October 5 and 6

Coimbatore: Track maintenance works at Coimbatore Junction Railway Yard will lead to changes in several train services on October 5 and 6, 2026, including short termination, revised originating stations and diversion of one weekly express service.Train No. 56604 Shoranur–Coimbatore Passenger will be short terminated at Podanur Junction on October 5 and 6 and will not operate between Podanur and Coimbatore Junction on these days. Train No. 66615 Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU will be short terminated at Coimbatore Junction on both days and will not operate between Coimbatore and Podanur.Meanwhile, Train No. 02197 Coimbatore–Jabalpur Weekly Special, scheduled to depart Coimbatore Junction at 3.10 pm on October 5, will instead originate from Podanur Junction at 3.30 pm. Train No. 56603 Coimbatore–Shoranur Passenger will also originate from Podanur Junction instead of Coimbatore Junction on October 5 and 6.Train No. 66616 Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to depart Podanur at 3.30 pm, will instead originate from Coimbatore Junction at 3.45 pm on October 5 and 6.Further, Train No. 22815 Bilaspur–Ernakulam Weekly Express will be diverted via Irugur–Podanur on October 6, skipping its scheduled stoppage at Coimbatore Junction. The train will have an alternative stoppage at Podanur Junction from 3.42 pm to 3.45 pm.
