Passenger Alert: Tiruchirappalli-Palakkad Town Express to Be Diverted via Podanur on October 11

Coimbatore: The Tiruchirappalli Junction–Palakkad Town Express (Train No. 16843) will undergo changes in its service on October 11 due to engineering works on a railway bridge between Erode and Tiruppur railway stations. According to Southern Railway, the train, scheduled to depart from Tiruchirappalli Junction at 1 pm, will be short-terminated at Irugur railway station, located between Erode and Uttukuli, on that day. After the completion of the engineering works, the train will operate as an unreserved special train from Irugur to Palakkad Town. Upon reaching Irugur, the train will be diverted via Irugur and Podanur, skipping its scheduled stops at Singanallur, Peelamedu, Coimbatore North and Coimbatore Junction railway stations. Passengers travelling to or from these stations are advised to take note of the changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
