Construction Worker Dies After Motorcycle Skids on Kuniyamuthur–Puttuvikki Road

Coimbatore: A 43-year-old construction worker died on the spot after his motorcycle skidded on the Kuniyamuthur–Puttuvikki road in Coimbatore on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Udhayakumar, a resident of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Colony in Neelikonampalayam. He fell off the road after his vehicle skidded near Velu Nayakkar Thottam on the Kuniyamuthur–Puttuvikki road.

His motorcycle reportedly ran over sand scattered along the roadside, causing him to lose control and skid.

Udhayakumar died on the spot after sustaining severe head injuries, including a skull fracture, and multiple abrasions on his body.

Coimbatore City West Traffic Investigation Wing recovered the body and sent it to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
