Coimbatore: Nurturing young minds to think beyond textbooks and transform ideas into real-world solutions, Park College of Engineering and Technology has launched the third edition of the Park Young Innovator Summit 2026, inviting school students to explore the possibilities of science, technology and innovation.
Organised by the college’s Innovation Ambassadors under the theme “Neengalum Abdul Kalam Aagalam”, the summit was formally launched by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, on October 8, 2026. The initiative seeks to kindle scientific curiosity, encourage creative thinking and empower students from Classes VI to XII to develop innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.
Held in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, the summit draws inspiration from his enduring vision of a nation shaped by the ideas, aspirations and ingenuity of its young people. It provides school students with a platform to translate their imagination into practical concepts while exploring emerging technologies and their potential to address real-world needs.
Over its first two editions, the summit has attracted more than 3,500 students, establishing itself as a prominent regional platform for young innovators. Building on this response, the third edition is scheduled to take place on October 30, 2026, with participation invited from eligible school students across the region.
This year’s summit will feature eight technology domains: AI for Humanity, Aero and Space Technology, Disaster Technology, Green Technology, Medical Technology, Women Technology, Cyber Technology and Fashion Technology. Cyber Technology and Fashion Technology are the two new additions, broadening the scope for students to explore emerging fields and present ideas with practical applications.
Participation is open to all eligible school students, with no registration fee. Teachers and students seeking registration assistance or further information can contact 94437 92222.
