The Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express will operate on a diverted route on September 5, 8, 10 and 12 due to sleeper renewal and track maintenance works between Murthipalayam and Karur. The train will run via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani, with several regular stoppages skipped and alternative stops provided along the diverted route.
Coimbatore: Passengers travelling by the Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express on September 5, 8, 10 and 12 will have to take note of revised route and stoppage arrangements due to ongoing railway maintenance works.
Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express, scheduled to depart Coimbatore Junction at 8 a.m., will be diverted between Coimbatore and Dindigul on the four days. Instead of its regular route, the train will operate via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani.
As a result, the train will skip its regular stoppages at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Ingur, Erode, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur.
To facilitate passenger travel along the diverted route, the train will instead stop at Podanur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi, Udumalaippettai, Palani and Oddanchatram.
