City Corporation officials startled by sudden inspection by Additional Chief Secretary

Key focuses were on the inspection of drinking water and roads in the city. Shiv Das Meena inspected more than 10 places in the city limits regarding the drinking water supply connection and development projects.

As a part of this, he inspected the action taken on the complaint of sewage mixing with drinking water in Sanganur, Narayanasamy layout area. In this, he inspected the pipes in the houses, drinking water, waste sorting area, municipal cemetery and heard the grievances of the public.

Meanwhile, Secretary Shivdas Meena unexpectedly entered a house and inspected the water tank.



He consumed water from the house in a plastic container.

The public grevience includes shortage of drinking water for three months, the stagnant sewage due to non-clearance of the canal and the people also demanded proper facilitation of roads.

Accepting their grevience secretary assured the public that immediate action would be taken on their grievances and ordered the government officials to carry out the work.

Following this, an old woman named Ochammal from the area said, "Drinking water supply hadnt been proper for the last three months. Despite having carried out an investigation by the authorities, there is no proper reaction. We don't demand any property rather request for drinking water which is our basic facility."

Similarly, regarding the municipal cemetery, the residents of the area complained that there is a risk of infection spread due to ash and smoke during cremation. They requested a shift over of the cemetery away from residential circle.

Earlier, just before the inspection the municipal officials were urgently engaged in the garbage clearance, which was left uncleared for a long time. The residents of the area complained regarding this incident to Shiv Das Meena.
