Multiple Civic Works, from Anganwadi to Canal Desilting, Inspected in Coimbatore's Peelamedu Ward 27

Coimbatore Corporation North Zone Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Dhanapal conducted a comprehensive inspection of civic works in Peelamedu today, including anganwadi centre operations, tree branch removal, cleaning activities, and drain desilting works. She instructed officials to ensure quality public services across all locations.


Coimbatore: Coimborate Corporation North Zone Ward 27 Councillor Ambika Dhanapal conducted an extensive inspection of various public services and sanitation works in her ward area today (10.07.2026).

The Councillor visited the anganwadi centre functioning at Peelamedu Perumal Koil Street in the morning. During the visit, she thoroughly reviewed the children's attendance register and enquired about the centre's daily operations with anganwadi workers. She instructed them to continue providing quality nutritious meals and pre-school education services to children.



Subsequently, she inspected tree branch removal operations being carried out using Saktiman machinery along Peelamedu Avarampalaiyam Main Road, in front of Perumal Koil, Bharathi Colony, and Surya Garden areas. She emphasized to the machine operator to conduct the work carefully without causing any inconvenience to the public and vehicular traffic.



Councillor Ambika Dhanapal personally monitored roadside garbage removal cleaning work at Peelamedu Sri Tirupathi Venkatachalapatty Nagar area. She provided clear guidelines to sanitation workers to clean regularly daily without allowing garbage to accumulate on roadsides.



The Councillor inspected the ongoing drain desilting work on Peelamedu Avinashi Main Road from SMS Hotel to Murugan Temple stretch. She instructed the contractor to complete the work with quality and speed. She emphasized that drains must be completely desilted to prevent waterlogging during the rainy season.



The Councillor also monitored the removal of accumulated tree debris on the roadside in front of Peelamedu Ayyappan Temple. She ordered Ward Supervisor Easwar to take immediate action to dispose of the cleared tree waste.

Thus, Councillor Ambika Dhanapal's efforts to comprehensively inspect various public services and sanitation works across Ward 27 in a single day and ensure quality services are being appreciated by the public.
