Coimbatore Municipal Corporation provides 44 trolleys to sanitation workers to segregate garbage

Coimbatore Corporation's Central Zonal Office Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Corporation Commissioner M Prathap distributed 44 trolleys with 176 new dustbins of two types of plastic for classifying and segregating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste at a cost of Rs 9,86,480 to sanitation workers in 20 wards.



Coimbatore: 20 wards under Coimbatore Corporation were provided with trolleys for garbage collection.



Coimbatore Corporation's Central Zonal Office Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Corporation Commissioner M Prathap distributed 44 trolleys with 176 new dustbins of two types of plastic to sanitation workers in 20 wards, for classifying and segregating biodegradable and makkah waste at a cost of Rs. 9,86,480.



Corporation Deputy Commissioner K Sivakumar, Central Zone President Meenaloku, Public Health Committee Chairman P Marichelvan and others were present on the occasion.



Subsequently, the Mayor and the Corporation Commissioner personally inspected the construction of additional classrooms at Maniyakarampalayam Corporation Higher Secondary School under Ward No.19 of North Zone at a cost of Rs. 99.10 lakhs and directed the concerned engineer to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively and bring them to use by students at the earliest.



They visited and inspected the site where additional classrooms and the laboratory are to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 83 lakh at the Corporation Higher Secondary School.



Further, after directing the concerned engineer to renovate the toilet in the Integrated Sanitary Complex in the area and put it to use at the earliest, the Corporation Commissioner M Prathap personally inspected the repair work of 5 classrooms at Chinnavedampatti, Sivanandapuram, Corporation Primary School under Ward No.11 of North Zone being done at a cost of Rs. 24 lakhs with 33 percent private participation.



He also directed the concerned engineer to complete the works expeditiously and qualitatively for students' use at the earliest.
