A 5-feet-long snake was found in the district collectorate's parking lot - the public was shocked

A 5-foot-long Indian rat snake was hiding in a room in the parking lot in Coimbatore district collectorate. On seeing this, the public immediately took action and informed the officials working in the collectorate. Upon being alerted, the fire department was also notified and their personnel promptly arrived at the scene to capture the snake.



Coimbatore: The fire and rescue services department caught a 5-foot-long snake that was hidden in a room in the parking lot behind the Coimbatore District Collectorate.

Every day, a large number of individuals visit the Coimbatore District Collectorate. Hundreds of officers and employees are also working. At the back of the district collectorate premises, there is a parking area for the general public, police, and staff. On one side of the bushes are also lying on the ground in the same place. Therefore, poisonous creatures, including snakes, are often seen here.

A 5-foot-long snake was hiding in a room in the parking lot. When the people noticed this, they alerted the collectorate officials, who then informed the fire department.



Later, fire and rescue personnel reached and caught the 5-foot-long Indian rat snake (Ptyas mucosa).

A private school is functioning behind the district collectorate. It should be mentioned that snakes and venomous critters are commonly seen in the region, and the public has consistently urged the district government to remove the unnecessary plants lying on the ground inside the office grounds.
