Tihar Jail Set to Host Tamil Nadu Government's Next Cabinet Meeting - Pollachi Jayaraman

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) held a protest in Tirupur. The purpose of the protest was to condemn the DMK-led government for its failure to control the skyrocketed prices of vegetables. The protest was led by Pollachi Jayaraman, AIADMK's Tirupur city district secretary and former deputy speaker of the legislative assembly.



Tirupur: The next cabinet meeting of the Tamil Nadu government is likely to be conducted in Tihar Jail, said former Assembly Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman at the AIADMK protest against price rise in Tirupur.



The AIADMK conducted a protest near Kumaran Memorial in Tirupur to oppose the DMK government's failure to control the price rise.



The demonstration was organised by Pollachi Jayaraman, AIADMK's Tirupur city district secretary and former deputy speaker of the legislative assembly, and was accompanied by party workers who garlanded vegetables to highlight the rise in vegetable prices.



Members of the AIADMK protested while wearing vegetable garlands. They raised slogans against the DMK and expressed their opposition.

Following this, Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman stated that the previous DMK administration collapsed due to the current bill issue, and that the current DMK government would fall due to the current bill issue. He stated that following the arrest of Minister Senthil Balaji and the interrogation of Minister Ponmudi, Udhayanidhi Stalin may be questioned next. He further stated that the DMK's next cabinet meeting will most likely be held in the Tihar Jail of the Central Government.



This protest was attended by MlAs M S M Anandan, Udumalai Radhakrishnan, Vijayakumar, and others.
