Elephant breaks through electric fences and damages coconut trees near Pannimadai

A wild elephant entered the garden of Anandakumar on the road from Pannimadai to Varapalayam in Coimbatore on Tuesday night. More than 10 coconut trees were damaged by breaking the electric fences, triggering panic among the people in the area.



Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a wild elephant broke into a garden near Pannimadai and damaged coconut trees.

There are more than 50 wild elephants in the Anaikatti hills of Coimbatore. It is a continuous story that they have entered the plantations in the foothills of the hills like Mangarai, Thadagam, Varapalayam, Pannimadai and other areas in search of food and damaged the crops.



In this situation, a wild elephant entered the garden of Anandakumar on the road from Pannimadai to Varapalayam on Tuesday night.



The elephant broke through the electric fences of the garden and went inside and damaged more than 10 coconut trees.



The incident has created a lot of panic among the people of the area.
