Fire breaks out at private restaurant near Sivananda Colony

The fire brigade rushed to the spot on receiving information and fought for a long time to bring the fire under control. While the kitchen was completely gutted in the fire, a billing computer nearby was also gutted in the fire.



Coimbatore: A fire broke out at a private restaurant near Sivananda Colony in Coimbatore on Sunday, gutting a kitchen and a billing computer.



A fire broke out in the kitchen of a private restaurant in Sivananda Colony area of Coimbatore.



As the fire broke out, a fire brigade led by Coimbatore North Fire Station Officer Suresh Kumar rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

The fire also spread from the kitchen to a nearby billing counter.



The fire department fought for a long time and brought the fire under control. The fire, which was caused due to an electrical leakage, destroyed items in the kitchen, and the billing system.

Kattoor police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are investigating.
