Tourist Van Accident near Valparai Hills, 31 Injured

A tourist van carrying 31 passengers crashed into a rock on the Pollachi-Valparai road near Aliyar Kavi Aruvi, injuring all on board.


Coimbatore: A group of 31 tourists from Thiruvarur district, after a five-day tour in Kerala, met with a severe accident near Valparai. While returning from the tourist spots in Valparai to Pollachi, their van hit a rock at hairpin Bend near Aliyar Kavi Aruvi. The vehicle was severely damaged in the accident that occurred on the steep mountain road.



Children and adults alike were injured in the crash and they are currently receiving treatment at the Pollachi Government Hospital.
