Orange Alert Issued for Coimbatore, Nilgiris, and Tirupur Districts by Meteorological Department

Coimbatore: The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall expected over the next three days in the Coimbatore, Nilgiris, and Tirupur districts.

From today, May 19, until May 22, there is a high likelihood of heavy rains in the Coimbatore and Nilgiris areas. Additionally, up to May 21, heavy rains are also anticipated in the Tirupur, Dindigul, and Virudhunagar districts.

Furthermore, the districts of Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari have been placed under a red alert, indicating even more severe weather conditions are expected.

Residents are advised to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow updates from local authorities to ensure safety during this period of adverse weather conditions.
