449th Weekly Cleaning Drive at Perur Pond - Public Invited to Participate

WWF-India and Coimbatore Ponds Protection Organization jointly organize the 449th weekly cleaning drive at Perur pond on June 28 from 7 AM to 9 AM. Public invited to participate in removing plastic waste and protecting the pond's ecosystem.


Coimbatore: In a continued effort towards environmental conservation, the 449th weekly cleaning drive is scheduled to take place at Perur pond on June 28. The initiative is jointly organized by the Coimbatore Ponds Protection Organization and WWF-India.




The cleaning drive will be conducted tomorrow (June 28) from 7 AM to 9 AM at Perur pond in the Perur area of Coimbatore. The primary objective of this initiative is to remove accumulated plastic waste from the pond and protect the water body's ecosystem, ensuring its ecological balance and sustainability.




On behalf of the Coimbatore Ponds Protection Organization, people of all ages, particularly students, environmental activists, and members of the public are cordially invited to participate and extend their cooperation in this noble cause. This marks the 449th consecutive week of dedicated efforts to maintain the cleanliness and ecological health of Perur pond.
