Residents Seek Road, Drainage Facilities in Idikarai

Residents of Mahalakshmi Garden in Ward 6 of Idikarai Town Panchayat, Maniyakkaranpalayam, submitted a petition seeking proper roads and drainage facilities, citing hardships during the monsoon. The Town Panchayat Chairman assured them that action would be taken.

Residents of Mahalakshmi Garden in Ward 6 of Idikarai Town Panchayat, Maniyakkaranpalayam, submitted a petition to Town Panchayat Chairman N. Janarthanan on Saturday seeking the provision of proper road and drainage facilities in their locality.

In the petition, the residents stated that the area lacks proper roads and stormwater drainage, causing significant inconvenience, particularly during the monsoon season when rainwater accumulates and affects daily life.



After receiving the petition, the Chairman assured the residents that the grievances would be examined and necessary steps would be taken to address the issues at the earliest.

Ward 6 Councillor S. Marimuthu, DMK functionaries and office-bearers of the residents' welfare association were also present during the submission of the petition.
