Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College Hosts Second Global Alumni Meet at Anaikatti

Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) held its Second Global Alumni Meet near Coimbatore at Anaikatti. Around 600 alumni from across the world and different graduation years participated enthusiastically. The event celebrated achievements and strengthened bonds with their alma mater through various programs and awards.


Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) successfully organized its Second Global Alumni Meet at Anaikatti near Coimbatore, witnessing enthusiastic participation from approximately 600 former students who graduated in different years from various parts of the world. The event served as an excellent platform for alumni to reunite, celebrate their achievements, and strengthen their lifelong relationship with their alma mater.

Mrs. Veena Ramesh, President of the SREC Alumni Association, delivered the welcome address for the event. Narendran, Co-Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Trust, presided over the function and highlighted the significant growth and achievements of SREC in education, research, and industry collaborations over the years. He appreciated the contributions made by the alumni in elevating the college and students.

Dr. A. Soundararajan, Principal of SREC and Patron of the Alumni Association, C.V. Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer of SNR Sons Trust, and Mark Melamed, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at TechGuard, delivered special addresses during the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the release of 'Spotlight,' an alumni magazine featuring achievements, success stories, and cherished memories of SREC alumni working across the globe. The magazine showcased the diverse accomplishments and journeys of former students.

This was followed by an Alumni Talk Session where alumni from various graduating batches shared their career journeys, college experiences, and motivational insights for current students. The session provided valuable guidance and inspiration for the younger generation.

Another major highlight of the event was the presentation of 'Alumni Excellence Awards' to former students who made outstanding contributions in Research and Development (R&D), education, industry collaboration, entrepreneurship development, student mentorship, and overall college development. These awards recognized the exceptional service and dedication of alumni towards their alma mater.

Professor Dr. V. Karpagam, Head of the Organizing Committee, delivered the vote of thanks, concluding the successful global alumni meet.
