Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Police have cracked a dacoity case reported from Madukkarai with the arrest of eight college students and the recovery of all the stolen valuables, including a Rolex watch, a laptop, and four mobile phones.

According to the police, the incident occurred on the night of July 15 when three employees of L&T, residing in a rented house in the Madukkarai area, were standing outside their residence watching a football match on a mobile phone.

On the directions of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Pavan Kumar, a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh of the Perur Sub-Division and led by Inspector Rajendira Prasad of Madukkarai Police Station.
