'Gift an Organ' a noble initiative by CII's Young Indians


A series of organ donation programmes was conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore and Young Indians to promote awareness and break the myths and misconception on organ donation. 12 renowned hospitals have joined hands with the team for this nobel cause.



Coimbatore has been termed as the most promising medical destination of South India. In 2015, the city has contributed for half of the organ donation from Tamil Nadu and has been emerging as a pioneer in organ transplantation across the country.

Dr.J.Amalorpavantham, Transplant Co-ordinator Govt of Tamil Nadu presided the event along with chair persons from Young Indians and notable doctors from various hospitals.

Dr. S. Raja Sabapathy, Convenor (Healthcare Panel), CII Coimbatore and Director, Ganga Hospital addressed the gathering on the importance of organ donation.



Bharathi Baskar, a famous Tamil Orator addressed the gathering on the importance of Organ donation. The audience were enthralled by her engaging speech on the topic 'Endrum Vazhga'.
