TiE and Headstart jointly organised a keynote session on 'Decoding GST'

'TiE' Coimbatore in association with 'Headstart Network Foundation' organized a session on 'Decoding GST' at Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT)  today. Mr. M. Sathya Kumar, was the keynote speaker for the session. 

About Sathya Kumar: He is a chartered accountant by profession and also a passionate public speaker, academician, social activist, a prolific debater on education and a great mentor to students. Since his childhood, he follows the principles of His Holiness Dalai Lama in living his way of life and preparing the vision for revolutionizing the education for upliftment of Rural India - through Quality education. for the Industry people to make them understand the Implication of the same. He was delivered numerous lectures to enlighten the students & startups on various policy reforms proposed by the Government like GST.

Key points of the session:

'GST is a digital India project of our country. The people have misunderstood that GST has been passed but it is actually the constitution amendment act that has been passed, he said. He educated the crowd on the significance of paying taxes and the consequences of evading taxation. After introduction of GST, the entire taxation system will be digitised and this will reduce the burden of businessmen, who can focus more on increased production and innovations. The GST will function on the principal of VAT. 

GST will evade black money from the country and will lessen the tax terrorism faced by the businessman by paying huge money for litigation with the officers.The implementation of GST will transform the entire taxing system regime to a great extent. The concept of MRP will wade off with the implementation of GST' he said.
