'Snakes are part of the eco-system' says expert in Osai's Enviro meet


Osai, a noted city-based NGO had organised a 'Enviro Meet', today evening at the Sidhapudur Corporation School.

Snake Santhosh and Ameen Badusha, Snake Rescuers, Coimbatore were the Chief Guest for the event. 



The snake experts addressed the gathering on the topic 'Save Our Snakes'. They educated the participants with pictorial presentations on different type of snake species, their nature, habitat and on how to identify venomous snakes. The need to protect snakes and their role in balancing the eco-system along with the responsibility of the humans to protect their habitats were urged by the experts.

Various NGO's participated in the event and commended on the socio-activities carried out by Osai & team. The event featured a special session targeting on 'endangered species',  statistical reports indicating the meagre numbers of those species (animals & birds) and their present habitats were revealed during the session. An exclusive book named 'Red Roster' (Sivappu Pattiyal) was released at the event on the endangered species. 



A music CD 'Nature's Voice' (Iyarkai Kural) songs based on environmental issues and awareness was also released by the Organisers of Osai.  



Mr. Sayeed from Osai, Mr. CGS Manian from Siruthuli, Special Rapid Force trainer Mr. Ramarajan and Mr, Rajarajan and  members from Rotary Club Legends were present in the event.
