Government Complex Set on Fire by Protesters In Kashmir

Dozens of people were injured after fresh violence broke out in Jammu in Kashmir today as protesters set an administrative complex on fire in the Shopian district.

The incident came on a day an all-party delegation began its visit to the state crippled by unrest for nearly the last two months since the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani.

The offices of the District Collector were among those set on fire.

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in the town with security forces were facing difficulties in controlling the crowds.

The violence flared after security forces foiled a protest march called by separatists this morning.

More than 70 people have been killed in clashes and thousands injured in violence since Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani was killed by security forces on July 8.
