DMK MLA Karthick evicted out of Coimbatore Corporation assembly

The eviction of DMK MLA N. Karthick at the emergency meeting called by City Mayor P. Rajkumar has caused agitation amongst the DMK cadets.

MLA Karthick, today participated in the Coimbatore Corporation Council meeting that was called for by the Mayor to pass special resolutions.  The DMK councillors did not participate in the meet as they were suspended by the Mayor during the last meet.

MLA Karthick raised the Peelamedu drinking water issue and the sanitary issues in his constituency, the AIADMK councilors and MLa's disrupted his speech, which ended up in a tussle between the two parties. The Mayor stated that the meeting was called to pass resolutions and not for registering complaints and ordered to evict MLA Karthick for creating agitation.

When speaking to the press, MLA Karthick reported that 'the drinking water is inorderly distributed in his constituency and he was disrupted by the AIADMK members while he put-forth the issue at the corporation assembly. He also alleged that the Mayor is acting on his own terms and he has organised the council without the members of the opposition. He also asserted that the Coimbatore Corporation Council has become like the Taminadu assembly and the only thing done in the council is to praise 'Amma'.
