Express train knocks man to death at Avarampalayam

Inspite of installing sign boards and austere instructions to abstain from walking on the railway tracks, people's negligence to abide have been costing their lives. A couple of weeks before, a student lost his life after an express train knocked him down at the Avarampalayam Railway tracks as he was walking on the tracks talking to his friend on his cell phone. Yesterday, yet another incident has been reported at the same track.

Marimuthu, son of Natarajan hails from Thithipalayam. He works as an electrician in Avarampalayam. On the day of incident, Marimuthu has jumped off the compound wall of his premise and landed on the railway tracks to urinate. It was a moment of shock as his jump coincided with the arrival of an express train via the route. He was knocked down by the train and died on the spot.

The Railway police retrieved the corpse and has sent to the Government Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
