A septuagenarian who was unable to recover from a leg fracture committed suicide by consuming poison here on Saturday.
According to police, the deceased P.Chinnammal (65) wife of Palanisamy was residing at P.N.Pudhur.
She had accidentally fractured her leg and was undergoing treatment.
However, she was not recovering well and this had added to her miseries and she was restricted to her bed.
Frustrated with this, she consumed poison and was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, she succumbed on the way. Police are investigating the case.
