Coimbatore: A man from Russia was seized by Trichy police in a drug case and taken to the Essential Commodities Court in Coimbatore this morning for a hearing. He appeared in court.

He got into a confrontation with the cops around 2 p.m., alleging that he was hungry.

Then he suddenly ran away from the court leaving the guards.

The policemen who followed him pacified him and bought him food at a restaurant in the court premises. The incident created a ruckus in the court for some time.
