Three-Tier Security, Drone Ban Announced Ahead of CM Vijay’s Arrival in Coimbatore Tomorrow

Coimbatore: Security has been tightened across Coimbatore district ahead of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s visit on September 30. He will travel from Coimbatore to Dharapuram to campaign for party candidate P. Sathyabama in the October 6 Assembly bypoll.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive in Coimbatore by air from Chennai before travelling by road to Dharapuram via Avinashi Road and Trichy Road.

With three-tier security in place, the Coimbatore police have prohibited drone operations along his expected route, including at the Coimbatore International Airport and in the surrounding areas.

Security has also been stepped up at the airport, where barricades have been installed to regulate movement and prevent overcrowding.

As large crowds are expected to gather along the route, police personnel will be deployed at key locations to manage the crowds and maintain security.
