“Jayalalithaa’s Soul Is Punishing the AIADMK,” Says TVK Minister Sengottaiyan in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Minister Sengottaiyan, during an interaction with reporters at the Coimbatore International Airport, today strongly defended the policies and governance of the Vijay-led Tamil Nadu government while criticising the present state of the AIADMK.

Speaking about the government’s initiatives, Sengottaiyan said the administration was according high priority to women’s safety and implementing measures aimed at preventing children and youth from falling prey to narcotics and substance abuse.

He stated that the government was introducing welfare initiatives on a continuous basis and expressed confidence that Chief Minister Vijay’s tenure would emerge as a landmark administration in Tamil Nadu’s political history.

“The people have elected Vijay with immense trust and without the influence of money politics. His governance will become a turning point not only for Tamil Nadu but for India as well,” he remarked.

The minister further said that leaders who genuinely care for the people and remain connected to public sentiment would continue to grow politically, while those who fail to uphold such values would face decline.

Responding to questions regarding the ongoing factionalism within the AIADMK, Sengottaiyan made a pointed political remark, stating that “Jayalalithaa’s soul is punishing the AIADMK.”

Referring to the Athikadavu–Avinashi drinking water project, he alleged that the exclusion of photographs of former Chief Ministers M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa during the project phase reflected disrespect towards their legacy. He claimed that those responsible for sidelining their legacy were now facing political consequences.

Sengottaiyan also noted that he continues to carry a photograph of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in his pocket, describing it as a symbol of his enduring respect and loyalty towards the late leader.
