Campaigning for DMK candidate Dr. Gokila Mani, Kamal Haasan praised her rise from an underprivileged background through education and reservation, describing her as a symbol of the Dravidian model and social justice.

Tiruppur: Kamal Haasan, President of Makkal Needhi Maiam, campaigned in support of DMK candidate Dr. Gokila Mani in Avinashi constituency and described her as an icon of the Dravidian model government and social justice.

Addressing the public, he said Dr. Gokila Mani hailed from an economically underprivileged family and had achieved success in life through determination and hard work. He noted that she benefited from government schooling, higher education opportunities, and reservation for the Arundhathiyar community.

Praising her simplicity and achievements, Kamal Haasan said every household should aspire to have a Gokila Mani. He added that he had volunteered to campaign for her and considered it a privilege to seek votes on her behalf.

He urged the people of Avinashi to elect her by casting votes in large numbers, stating that her victory would symbolize social justice and the principles upheld by the Dravidian model government.

He further said he had long been waiting to witness a candidate being fielded who truly represented social justice and emerged from a simple background to serve as a people’s representative, adding that such representation gave him immense joy.

Kamal Haasan also appealed to voters in Coimbatore South constituency to support Senthil Balaji. Recalling the support he received in the previous election, he requested voters to extend the same backing to Senthil Balaji in the upcoming poll.
