Machine Operator Plastics Processing Training for SC and ST Youth in Coimbatore

TAHDCO and Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology are offering Machine Operator Plastics Processing training for SC and ST youth in Coimbatore. Four-month course includes Rs 2,000 monthly stipend and job placement assistance with starting salaries of Rs 18,000-22,000.


Coimbatore: Machine Operator Plastics Processing training will be provided to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe youth in Coimbatore. The Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) and the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology have joined hands to offer this specialized training program, announced District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar.




TAHDCO has been providing various skill-based training programs to SC and ST youth across Tamil Nadu. Building on this initiative, the corporation has partnered with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology to launch the Machine Operator Plastics Processing Course specifically designed for SC and ST youth seeking employment opportunities in the manufacturing sector.




The eligibility criteria for this training program include belonging to SC or ST community, having passed Class 10, age between 18 to 35 years, and annual family income not exceeding Rs 3 lakh. The comprehensive four-month training program will be conducted in Chennai district, providing participants with hands-on experience in operating plastic processing machinery.




During the training period, participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 to support their learning journey. This financial assistance ensures that youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can participate without financial constraints affecting their training.




Upon successful completion of the course, qualified candidates will receive job placement assistance through the training institute. The program promises employment opportunities with starting salaries ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000 per month, providing a stable income source for successful trainees.




The plastics processing industry offers significant employment potential, and this training program aims to equip SC and ST youth with technical skills demanded by manufacturers. The hands-on training will prepare participants for immediate employment in plastic manufacturing units across Tamil Nadu.
