Somanur Sub-Station Scheduled Maintenance Tomorrow (10.07.2026) : 7-Hour Power Cut Announced

Monthly maintenance work at Somanur sub-station will be conducted tomorrow from 9 AM to 4 PM. Power supply will be affected in eight areas including Somanur, Krishnapuram, and Samalapuram during this period. Residents are advised to plan accordingly.


Coimbatore: The electricity board has announced that monthly maintenance work at the Somanur sub-station will be conducted tomorrow (July 10) from 9 AM to 4 PM.




Due to this scheduled maintenance work, power supply will be disrupted for seven hours in the following areas: Somanur, Krishnapuram, Samalapuram, Ramakrishiyampalayam, Thottipalayam, Senthil Nagar, Paramasivan Palayam, and Kaniyur (partial area).




Electricity board officials have stated that these monthly maintenance works are essential to ensure the quality and safety of the sub-station infrastructure. Residents in the affected areas are requested to plan their daily activities accordingly and make necessary arrangements during the power outage period.




The public has been advised to contact the electricity board helpline number in case of any emergencies during the power cut hours. Officials have assured that the maintenance work will be completed within the scheduled time frame to minimize inconvenience to consumers.
