Coimbatore: A farmer in Mavuthampathi Panchayat near Madukkarai in Coimbatore district was left shocked after two of his goats were found dead and another went missing in a suspected wild animal attack.

Kulandhaivel, a farmer residing at Ramya Garden on Alamaram Road in Mavuthampathi Panchayat, discovered that two of his three goats had been killed, while the third was missing.

The incident has triggered concern among local residents, who suspect that a leopard could be responsible for the attack. Residents have also raised concerns over previous incidents of suspected wild animal movement in the surrounding areas.

Following the incident, the Madukkarai Forest Department personnel were informed. An investigation is underway to determine the animal responsible for the attack and trace the missing goat.

The incident has renewed concerns among farmers in the area over the safety of their livestock amid suspected wildlife movement.
