Karpagam College of Engineering Celebrates 24th Annual Day

Karpagam College of Engineering in Coimbatore celebrated its 24th Annual Day on 27.04.2024 with Dr. O.A. Balasubramanian as chief guest, highlighting student achievements and future tech trends.


Coimbatore: Karpagam College of Engineering marked its 24th Annual Day on April 27, 2024, with a grand celebration attended by students, faculty, and distinguished guests.



The event took place at the college premises under the aegis of the chairman Dr. R. Vasanthakumar and was graced by the presence of Dr. O.A. Balasubramanian, a notable figure in the corporate tech world.


Dr. P. Karthigaikumar, Dean of Academics, initiated the proceedings by welcoming the chief guest and the audience. The annual report, detailing the significant achievements of both students and faculty members during the academic year 2023-24, was eloquently presented by Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, the Principal of Karpagam College of Engineering.


The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Dr. O.A. Balasubramanian, who emphasized the evolving trends in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. His insights were particularly relevant, reflecting the cutting-edge advancements that are shaping the future of technology.



The ceremony also included the presentation of several prestigious awards to outstanding students in various categories such as Best Project, Academic Toppers, and Best Outgoing Students.





Among the awards presented were the Subbulakshmi Karunanidhi Award, R.K. Seshadri Memorial Award, and several others honoring excellence in innovation and academic pursuits.


The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. C. Krishnaraj, Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved in making the Annual Day a success and underscored the importance of such events in motivating students to excel in their respective fields.
